Grow Your Potential
GROW YOUR POTENTIAL is a dynamic project designed for young people funded by the UK Government, administered by Pembrokeshire County Council.
The GROW YOUR POTENTIAL project supports young people aged 11-24 from key areas like Haverfordwest, Fishguard, Milford Haven, Pembroke Dock and Narberth and will run from 1 st May – 31 st Oct 2025.
Mae TYFU EICH POTENSIAL yn brosiect deinamig a gynlluniwyd ar gyfer pobl ifanc a ariennir gan Llywodraeth y DU, ac eu weinyddir gan Gyngor Sir Penfro.
Mae prosiect TYFU EICH POTENSIAL yn cefnogi pobl ifanc sydd yn 11 i 24 oed, o ardaloedd allweddol fel Hwlffordd, Abergwaun, Aberdaugleddau, Doc Penfro ac Arberth, a bydd yn rhedeg o 1af Mai – 31eg Hydref 2025.
Short-term benefit to beneficiaries will be increasing resilience and confidence, plus increasing volunteering opportunities for young people. Social action and prescribing are a known way to help young people address their problems more effectively, benefits include:
– It helps people feel heard, valued, and understood
– It creates thriving communities
– It can support people who are most at risk of poor health
– And it helps people get the most relevant and effective support available.
Bydd yna budd tymor-byr i fuddiolwyr yn cynyddu gwydnwch a hyder, ynghyd â chynyddu cyfleoedd gwirfoddoli i bobl ifanc. Mae gweithredu cymdeithasol a rhagnodi yn ffordd adnabyddus o helpu pobl ifanc i fynd i’r afael â’u problemau’n fwy effeithiol, mae’r manteision yn cynnwys:
– Mae’n helpu pobl i deimlo fel bod nhw wedi cael eu clywed, eu gwerthfawrogi, a’u deall
– Mae’n creu cymunedau ffyniannus
– Gall gefnogi pobl sydd fwyaf mewn perygl o iechyd gwael
– Ac mae’n helpu pobl i derbyn y gefnogaeth fwyaf perthnasol ac effeithiol sydd ar gael iddynt
Using our incredible, outdoor agri-green space in Narberth we will deliver activities to bond like-minded peers with one another to share lived experiences, create positive connections, create new pathways for young people to live positive lives and reduce behaviours that lead to poor choices and unhealthy ways of living putting pressures on statutory services. Outdoor activities such as foraging, food growing and crop/horticulture skills built into taster opportunities leading to an impactful volunteering experience.
Gan ddefnyddio ein ardal awyr agored anhygoel amaeth-wyrdd yn Arberth, byddwn yn cyflwyno gweithgareddau i gysylltu cyfoedion o’r un anian â’i gilydd i rhannu profiadau byw, creu cysylltiadau cadarnhaol, creu llwybrau newydd i bobl ifanc fyw bywydau cadarnhaol a lleihau ymddygiadau sy’n arwain at ddewisiadau gwael a ffyrdd afiach o fyw gan roi pwysau ar wasanaethau statudol. Mae gweithgareddau awyr agored fel chwilota am fwyd, tyfu bwyd a sgiliau cnydau/garddwriaeth wedi’u hymgorffori mewn cyfleoedd blasu gan arwain at brofiad gwirfoddoli effeithiol.
Long term benefits on beneficiaries would be reducing the poverty gap within the county and raising aspirations/wellbeing. Wider benefits to the community will be the reduction in ASB reported incidents across the county.
This Grow Your Potential project has received £26,254 from the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Byddai manteision hirdymor i fuddiolwyr yn lleihau’r bwlch tlodi yn y sir a chodi dyheadau/llesiant. Bydd manteision ehangach i’r gymuned yn y gostyngiad o’r nifer y DYG a adroddir ledled y sir.
